World File Hacker is an editing assistant for use with the TSRE Route Editor or the MSTS Route Editor.

This powerful utility can swap out shapes and tracks within a route, add underlying berms, and place multi-part scenery objects such as power lines and poles, signaling cabinets, bridges and supports, viaducts and even trestles.

Examples of routes built using World File Hacker include the Illinois Railway Museum the CNW Chicago, and Union Pacific Gila Subdivision.
